Brief
Cirkopolis reveals a totalitarian industrial city in a video scenography inspired of the films Brazil, Metropolis and the world of Kafka. A video design by Alexis Laurence and Robert Massicotte takes the viewer into an elementary universe of sculptural imagery. In this city of austere appearance, giant gears and dark portals illustrate a mechanism that crushes all individuality. Thus, over the 24 scenes going from gray to fantasy, twelve performers defy austerity to overcome the ordinary with humour in a final with colourful and optimistic visuals!
